Recommendations on the Application of Economic Mechanisms for Waste Management at the Regional Level

These recommendations set out the basic principles for the use of economic waste management mechanisms for the integrated solution of waste problems in the regions of the Russian Federation, including the development and implementation of relevant regional programs. The recommendations set out: the main stages in the selection of economic mechanisms based on the assessment of regional features, the procedure for assessing their effectiveness in specific conditions of the territories, the principles for the creation of an appropriate information support system based on approaches to environmental and economic accounting, main directions for the application of economic mechanisms for waste management in the framework of regional strategic programs. The publication is of interest to specialists in the field of environmental economics, environmental management, as well as for graduate students and university students.
