This publication shows the results of the project "Economic Assessment of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Services as the Basis for Rational Management of Protected Areas and Biodiversity Conservation (on the Example of the Sochi National Park)." It is aimed at improving the management of the Sochi National Park and the creation of appropriate information and analytical support. A mechanism for managing biodiversity conservation and an information and analytical base for decision-making was developed based on the results of the economic assessment of natural resources and ecosystem services, the comparison of revenues received by specific groups of users and the conservation costs. The book is of interest to specialists of the territorial environmental management, a wide range of public, business representatives and all stakeholders, as well as students and postgraduates of geographic and economic faculties of universities. The report has been prepared and published with the financial support of the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). CEPF is a joint initiative of l'Agence Française de Développement, Conservation International, the European Union, the Global Environment Facility, the Government of Japan, the MacArthur Foundation and the World Bank.
