System Development of Scientific Research and Environmental Monitoring in Russian Protected Areas of Federal Significance: Program Documents

The scientific monograph* was prepared to implement the Concept for the development of the system of federal protected areas for the period until 2020, which requires the development of specific measures for systematic and consistent development of scientific research and environmental monitoring in nature reserves and national parks as a basic condition for biodiversity conservation and increase their importance as an essential part of the natural capital of the country and its regions. The book forms the normative legal, organizational, administrative, institutional and resource prerequisites for improving the scientific and information and analytical support of biodiversity conservation in Russia's protected areas in order to optimize the management of biodiversity conservation. The publication contains the projects of the Program for Scientific Research in Nature Reserves and National Parks and the Unified Program for Environmental Monitoring in Nature Reserves and National Parks, developed in accordance with the applicable legislative and regulatory documents in the Russian Federation. The publication is of interest to specialists in the field of environmental management, state and municipal management and to all interested in environmental issues.
