The book includes the most significant works for half a century of scientific activity of Privalovskaya - the largest analyst in the development of modern environmental management, one of the leaders of his economic and geographical study. These works reflect the creative development of a scientist who has made her way up from a geographer in the 1960s to the leader of the most important area in modern social geography - geographic resource study in the early 21st century. She was one of the first to realize the role of the traditionally highly developed resource use in Russia at the transitional stage of its development and formulated in her works the opportunities, ways, problems and limitations of including it in the modern Russian economy that is looking for an innovative way of development. The great work of Privalovskaya in the first half of her career is quite fully reflected in a series of author's monographs from 1961 to 1980. Therefore, this book focuses on her works in the 1990 - 2000s. They occupy most of the publication and determine the contribution of this great scientist to the development of the theoretical and methodological foundations of social geography and its important area - geographical resource research and the study of its problems at the present stage of scientific research.
