Our experts - Konstantin Loshadkin, Ph.D. in Geography, Associate Professor, and Elena Arabova - took part in the workshop “Index of environmental protection expenditures and physical volume indicators according to the recommendations of OECD/Eurostat”.

   The workshop was organized by the Federal State Statistics Service in cooperation with the World Bank with the participation of international experts.
   The aim of the seminar was harmonization of the national methodology for the development of indicators of environmental protection expenditures with the UN, OECD and Eurostat approaches. The participants addressed the issues of implementation of the System of Environmental Economic Accounting (SEEA). Particular emphasis was placed on the exchange of experience and discussion of the practice of international organizations and national statistical services on the environmental activity accounts of the SEEA.
   Our experts gave a presentation “Environmental Protection Expenditures Accounting in Russian Federation within SEEA”.
