  Article “Russian Arctic regions: Sustainable Development and Its Measurement” by Georgy Fomenko & Marina Fomenko came out 

 The article was published in the collection of scientific papers of the Second All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation "Ecology and Environmental Management. Strategy of Using Natural Capital for the Sustainable Development of the Arctic and Regions". The article shows the feasibility and the possibility of practical application of the natural capital indicator (including specially protected areas) in regional explorations of the North, along with a tool for assessing ecosystem services. The complex integrative nature of sustainable development goals, associated with a holistic perception of nature and a more realistic understanding of a person in his sociocultural environment, leads to new demands on the measurement of environmental management. The article shows the feasibility and the possibility of practical application of the natural capital indicator (including specially protected areas) in regional explorations of the North, along with a tool for assessing ecosystem services.
