Project of Climate Risk Assessment and Adaptation

Our team of analysts, together with Strategy DNA, Inc., with the participation of international experts, assessed climate risks and proposed ways to minimize them for one of the largest fertilizer manufacturing corporations in Europe. 

The work included: 

• dentification of climate risks of varying probability and prediction of possible consequences for the company; 

• analytical calculations of indicators of potential financial impact caused by climate change; identification of possible growth / decrease in operating costs over time; 

• determination of the time horizon for the occurrence of climate risks; 

• independent external assessment of the company's risk management system, in comparison with the other similar large companies in the sector.

Climate risk assessment contributed to a clear understanding of the scope of risks and their probability at different stage of the production process, the consequences (financial and non-financial) for the company and the ways to eliminate, minimize or adapt to possible risks.
