Scheme of location, use and protection of hunting territories

The excessive use of hunting resources, caused by the traditions of environmental management, the socio-economic features leads to a decrease in the number of huntingresources, degradation of their habitat, and loss of biodiversity. The most important problems of ensuring the sustainable use and preservation of hunting resources are the lack of compliance with the legislation in the field of hunting and organization of hunting facilities, insufficient monitoring of hunting resources and their habitats, and the ineffective hunting management.

Our work on the development of hunting management schemes is based on analysis of the physical-geographical and socio-economic features of the specific territory, a review of changes in the amounts and use of hunting resources over the past 10 years, the state and use of the habitat of hunting resources. The results obtained made it possible to develop measures for the sustainable use of hunting territories and hunting resources, including proposals for the development of hunting facilities, standards for the capacity of hunting territories, the creation of arranged and generally accessible hunting territories, specially protected natural areas, biotechnological measures, and accounting for the amounts of hunting resources.

Our development of hunting management schemes has laid the foundation for planning in the field of hunting and conservation of hunting resources, increasing the efficiency ofhunting management, ensuring the rational use and conservation of hunting resources and their habitats, reducing the threat of socially significant depletion of hunting resources, and the loss of biodiversity
