The ecological atlas of the Yaroslavl region, first published on the territory of the region in accordance with the best world practices, is a collection of cartographic, aerospace, statistical, textual and illustrative materials, a comprehensive set of unique information on the environmental situation in the region and measures for its improvement. It reveals the ecological relationships between Nature and Society, determines the causes of changes in the environment, the human habitat, and shows the actions currently being taken to improve the resilience of cities and towns, settlements and natural complexes.
Atlas is the result of active creative cooperation of scientists and specialists of various fields of knowledge - geography, ecology, biology, hunting management, medicine, history, paleontology, statistics, economics, sociology, science of culture, cartography and fast-growing sector of decoding of remote sensing data.
The main chapters of the atlas "General information and environmental situation", "Ecological changes", "Enhancing Environmental Sustainability" show the nature of environmental problems, their dynamics and development trends under the influence of external factors. They include the information about the system of environmental measures adopted in the Yaroslavl region to mitigate negative processes, reduce anthropogenic pressure on the environment, and search for adaptive opportunities in the modern world.
